Post Malone does indeed have a small part in the 2024 film adaptation of the 1980s classic Road House, which is currently available for streaming on Amazon Prime. It seems that the rapper enjoys making brief movie appearances these days.
Post Malone will just have to make do with making an appearance in the opening five minutes of the newest Jake Gyllenhaal action movie, though perhaps one day his agency will be able to get him a supporting role.
Road House, which was directed by Doug Liman and had a screenplay by Chuck Mondry and Anthony Bagarozzi, stars Gyllenhaal as a former UFC fighter who gets hired to work as a bouncer at a pub in the Florida Keys. Although the tavern, also known as The Road House, has occasionally had aggressive patrons, Gyllenhaal is more than capable of handling it. What is our source of knowledge? Because in the movie’s first fight sequence with Post Malone, Gyllenhaal’s character is established as a formidable opponent.
The 28-year-old rapper, whose actual name is Austin Post, is adding Road House to his expanding resume of cameos, which already includes appearances in Spenser Confidential, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, and Jennifer Lopez’s most recent visual album, This Is Me…Now: A Love Story.
What song by Post Malone appears in the film Road House?
The Road House soundtrack featured Post Malone’s recently released single, “Horsepower.” The movie opens with Post Malone performing a scene, and you can hear the song playing over that scene. Although the soundtrack for 2024 Road House is not yet available, it should soon be available on Apple Music or Spotify. It’s also not yet possible to purchase “Horsepower” as a single.
In the movie Road House (2024), who plays Post Malone?
In the movie Road House, Post Malone, real name Austin Post, portrays a guy named Carter. In the movie’s opening scene, he makes a fleeting appearance as Gyllenhaal’s character Dalton visits an underground combat ring in an attempt to make some extra money. We witness Carter—also known as Post Malone, who is immediately recognizable thanks to his numerous tattoos—defeat his first opponent in the ring with ease. Carter is obviously a big shot around here. He brags about his victory and challenges anyone bold enough to take a stand to face him.
Enter Gyllenhaal, who has a black hoodie on and is obscuring his face. Carter is thrilled to be facing his new foe. Up till Gyllenhaal shows off his very outstanding body and his face by taking off his sweater. Carter seemed anxious all of a sudden. Carter is being asked if he knows who that guy is. Carter is aware of the guy’s character and is unwilling to engage in combat.
“You fucking battle him!” As he charges out of the ring, Post Malone yells. “There’s no way!”
Gyllenhaal only gives a small smile, fastens his boots again, and takes his money for winning the bout by default. This person obviously has a dangerous reputation, and he’s not above using it to his advantage.
That concludes Post Malone’s appearance at Road House. We didn’t see him again. However, it adds another entry to the rapper’s ever-expanding number of credits on IMDB. Thankfully, he wasn’t a cunning, enchanted zodiac figures this time!
