Taylor was also awarded Favorite Tour Style and Pop Artist of the Year.
At Monday night’s (2024) iHeartRadio Music Awards (April 1), Taylor Swift won three awards: artist of the year, pop artist of the year, and favorite tour style. Although the 34-year-old singer was not present in person at Los Angeles’ Dolby Theatre, she gave a moving video acceptance speech.
A video of the hitmaker aired after *NSYNC’s Lance Bass and Backstreet Boys member AJ McLean announced Swift as the winner, along with the winners of Pop Artist of the Year and Tour of the Year.
A clip featuring Swift stated, “It’s entirely up to you to choose how you spend your time, what concerts you want to go to, and what music you want to make the soundtrack to your life,” was shown during the ceremony. “I am incredibly grateful to everyone who has given me a say in those decisions. Ahead of us are a ton of great stuff. The tour will go on, and most significantly, my new album, The Tortured Poets Department, will be released on April 19.
Taylor showed gratification towards her fans.
Swift also took a moment to thank her fans for coming out to her record-breaking Eras Tour and for their support in listening to her music. “You know, fans, the choice of how you spend your time, the events you attend, and the music you choose to add to your life’s soundtrack is all yours. And I am incredibly grateful to everyone who has included me in those selections,” she said.
The singer has already revealed the track listing and three different versions of the 16-track album, called “The Manuscript,” “The Bolter,” and “The Albatross,” each of which features a unique extra track. Two significant joint efforts are featured on the Tortured Poets Department tracklist: Post Malone, whose name appears on track one, “Fortnight,” and Florence + The Machine on track eight, “Florida!!!”
