FRISCO: The Dallas Cowboys have suffered a twin setback as they were vastly outbid by a considerable margin for the services of the top free-agency running back available, and now have to contend with a competing Philadelphia Eagles club that is the team that will prevail in the pursuit of Saquon Barkley.

We made it known to Cowboys Nation early on Monday that the rumors concerning the Cowboys were unfounded, and that Philly was “serious” here.
Barkley, who turned 27 today, was born and raised in Philadelphia, so the Eagles didn’t even need to give him a “hometown discount.” Alternatively, he gets his $12 million annually, plus some, considering that it’s said to be a $37.75 million, three-year deal.

What’s the news about Saquon Barkley and Eagles?

Hey, somebody is going to play running back! There are other Dallas prospects who will come in more reasonably priced! However, even the much-anticipated re-signing of Tony Pollard is out, as he will be joining Tennessee on a three-year contract worth $7 million annually.
Thus, Saquon and the Eagles are now a team. Dallas does not understand him. In addition to that, however, he will be playing for an old foe who will face the Cowboys twice a year in the NFC East. Twice as much harm to Dallas.
