With a 125-90 victory over the Milwaukee Bucks, the Golden State Warriors bounced back from one of the greatest blowout losses in team history. When Andrew Wiggins returned to the Dubs lineup, Golden State was playing at its best level in weeks. With their current record of 33-28, the Warriors have once again surpassed the Lakers for the ninth spot in the Western Conference.

The former MVP was able to play for the Bucks even though Giannis Antetokounmpo was doubtful to play. After Milwaukee took the lead for a few minutes in the first quarter of regulation, Wiggins and Podziemski made back-to-back three-pointers to extend their lead to 10 points. For the remainder of the regulation, the Bucks were behind.

Even with Antetokounmpo’s strong performance—23 points, 7 rebounds, and 6 assists—the Warriors’ superior outside shooting proved to be too much for him to handle. Throughout the game, 48.7% of Golden State’s three-point field goal attempts were made. The Warriors effectively ended Milwaukee’s chances by shutting down the Bucks defensively in the second half and giving up only 32 points.

The Dubs were relieved to have Wiggins back in the lineup, even if he only played 13 minutes. Fortunately, the Warriors did not require him to return as a key player. After going 10-for-19 from the field (6-for-10 from three) and dishing out eight assists and five rebounds, Steph Curry finished with a game-high 29 points.

With four rebounds, two assists, two steals, three blocks, and nine points on nine of his fourteen field goal attempts, Jonathan Kuminga contributed his personal twenty points. In his stats, Draymond Green had 12 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists, and 2 blocks. Moses Moody, who came off the bench, finished with a game-high +22 plus/minus in his 20 minutes of play, and Trayce Jackson-Davis scored 15 points in 15 minutes on just 8 field goal attempts.

On Thursday, the Warriors will play another back-to-back, but at least they won’t have to worry about traveling. Tomorrow night, they will play host to the Chicago Bulls; tip-off is set for 7:00 PM Pacific.
